Jodie Foster reveals disastrous accident that occurred right before she hosted ‘SNL’ at age 14

It doesn’t take a true detective to know this was a sticky situation.

Jodie Foster is reflecting on hosting “Saturday Night Live” right after her 14th birthday in November of 1976 during the show’s sophomore season.

“My bad memory of that is that right before I went on, like maybe a half an hour before I went on, I had what was called an Orange Julius,” the actress, 62, admitted to Entertainment Weekly at the Toronto International Film Festival. “I had a big Orange Julius and it fell all over my pants. And they were like, ‘Well, we don’t have time to [change],’ so, the whole [monologue], I was sticky.”

Foster donned a San Francisco Giants shirt, with jeans and brown boots during her opening monologue.

The “Taxi Driver” star only hosted “SNL” that one time, but can’t remember if she was ever invited back.

“I may have been asked, but I’ve never done it again,” Foster explained, adding if she would ever do it again: “I don’t know. Probably not.”

The “Silence of the Lambs” Oscar-winner was the youngest person to host the sketch comedy show until Drew Barrymore broke the record at 7-years-old in 1982.

Foster hosted the show alongside musical guest Brian Wilson, who died in June.

The star reminisced on the Beach Boys founder’s behavior while on set.

“He didn’t talk to anybody. He was in his trailer, you know, he wasn’t well, particularly,” Foster told the outlet.

Over the years, Wilson dealt with drug use and depression.

“He came with his minder…so I didn’t ever talk to him, but I saw [him]. I don’t even think he came to rehearsal,” the Oscar winner confessed.

“They put him in a sandbox,” continued Foster. “And his piano was in the sandbox and he had no shoes on and then Lorne Michaels was like, ‘You’re gonna do ‘Good Vibrations’ all by yourself.’ It was just him and the piano singing ‘Good Vibrations,’ which was kind of weird, like one person singing ‘Good Vibrations.’”

Wilson died from respiratory arrest over the summer.

“We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” his family shared on Instagram at the time. “We are at a loss for words right now.”

She added that she’s “never felt this kind of pain before.”
