Jimmy Kimmel Slams Trump Officials For Defending “The Indefensible” Death Of Renee Good: “How Stupid Do You Think We Are?”

Jimmy Kimmel delivered a somber monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live in light of the fatal shooting of Renee Good, who was killed during an ICE protest in Minneapolis.

Kimmel skewered President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller for attempting to “defend the indefensible” by claiming Good was a “terrorist” who was attempting to run over the ICE officer when the shooting occurred.

“What do you do when something terrible happens, and a big group of people – including those running the country – tells you it didn’t?” Kimmel questioned as he implored viewers to watch the viral video of the shooting. “They’re telling you you’re not seeing what you clearly see. Are you supposed to just accept it and move on, go about your day?”

The late night host then pointed to Trump’s controversial comments about late director Rob Reiner as he said, “There used to be a baseline of truth that doesn’t exist anymore and there used to be a baseline of decency.”

“Let’s say a beloved director and his wife were murdered allegedly by own their son,” Kimmel stated. “A leader would either say something nice or say nothing at all and those days are gone. Maybe not forever, hopefully not forever, but for now they’re gone.”

Kimmel slammed the White House for spreading the narrative that she was “part of a left wing terror effort” and committing domestic terrorism. “We’re to believe this woman was a terrorist? Committing a terrorist act? The fact that ICE shot through her windshield three times, that was her fault?” he said.

The late night host went on to slam Kristi Noem for claiming the ICE officer who shot Good was “following his training.”

“How stupid do you think we are? That’s not just an insult to Renee Good, that’s an insult to every law enforcement officer everywhere. They’re not trained to do that,” he said, later adding, “I know it isn’t easy to work in law enforcement. I get that people make mistakes in the heat of a situation, but don’t try to tell me that went by the book. Apologize, investigate, let justice be served.”

Kimmel later earned his first laugh of the evening when he called Vance a “sofa pumper” for attempting to “defend the indefensible” in a press conference. “I never thought I’d say this but I miss Mike Pence,” he said.

Kimmel continued taking shots at Vance before later setting his sights on Miller, who he called “Trump’s other little penis.”

“Well, we think she got shot by an ICE agent that you and your boss sent into Minneapolis,” Kimmel said of Vance. “I think maybe all that Maybeline is poisoning his brain.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
