Jets takeaways, report card from NFL Week 10 win over Browns

Takeaways from the Jets’ 27-20 victory over the Browns on Sunday.

1. Winning is the great deodorant so the stink of the Jets offense was covered up on Sunday. But don’t let the feel-good vibes after the Jets’ second straight win mask the problems that remain on the Jets offense. It starts with quarterback Justin Fields, who threw for only 12 yards if you take away the 42-yard screen pass to Breece Hall. Fields did not build off his strong game in Cincinnati. The Jets can’t consider a quarterback change on a short week, but if Fields plays terribly in New England on Thursday, they may have to go to Tyrod Taylor against the Ravens.

2. Breece Hall said after the game that coach Aaron Glenn told him that he is going to ride him for the rest of the season. Now, the Jets need to do it before the fourth quarter. Hall had 12 carries before the fourth quarter on Sunday and nine in the fourth quarter, plus his 42-yard touchdown on a screen pass. The Jets got no offensive rhythm going early, partly because of the long kick returns, but it is imperative that the Jets start to ride Hall more. He is this team’s home-run hitter. Let him swing.

3. One of the most underrated pickups of the Joe Douglas era was kick returner Kene Nwangwu. His 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on Sunday was a huge spark for the Jets and the fifth return touchdown of his career. The problem with Nwangwu is he struggles to stay healthy. This was his first game back after a concussion sidelined him against Cincinnati. But when he is on the field, he is a threat to get to the end zone every time he touches the ball.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
