Never one to take herself too seriously, Aniston filmed a comical Q&A on the brand’s Instagram, prompted with the question “Would I ever go brunette?”

“I am brunette,” the actress quipped.

“I’m brunette,” she repeated, as BFF and former “Friends” co-star Courteney Cox walked into frame, throwing her hair on top of Aniston’s, adding, “Here … this is what she looks like brunette.”

“That’s black,” Aniston added, suggesting her natural hair color would be a bit softer than Cox’s deep brown hue.

Looking at herself in the mirror, the 56-year-old actress is reminded of the wig she wore in “Horrible Bosses.”

“Oh, this is like the ‘Horrible Bosses’ character I played,” she announces, to which Cox replies as she walks away, “I love ‘Horrible Bosses’ … You were a badass dentist.”

In conclusion, Aniston repeats the question, replying, “Yes, well, you saw that answer … did that work? … That I was a natural brunette?” To which she then circled her face with her hand and added, “This is fake.”

Aniston’s hair colorist Michael Canalé recounted the origins of “The Rachel” to Page Six Style in 2019. Working with hairstylist Chris McMillan, who created the cut, Canalé was the one to lighten her up.

“Jennifer had medium brown hair, a little past shoulder length. I decided to switch her out from her natural brown to a caramelized blond with feather-thin highlights, a color that looked like she loved being on the beach,” he shared at the time.

“While most other celebrities have tried long and short and wildly different colors, Jennifer has become a style icon because she doesn’t go trendy,” Canalé added.

Hairstylist Justin Anderson revealed his anxiety when modifying Aniston’s masterpiece of a blond ‘do in the comments of the post, writing, “i made you brunette for CAKE and i’ve never had more anxiety about doing hair color in my life 😂.”

Another fan wrote, “jen hair has its own fan club and YES i’m a member!” while another commented, “jen’s hair deserves its own spin off show!”

We’d certainly tune in.
