Jenna Bush Hager Calls Dwyane Wade Out For Talking About “Getting It In” On ‘Today’
While discussing public displays of affection on Today, Dwyane Wade used a phrase that left Jenna Bush Hager questioning whether or not it was safe for daytime television.
Wade, who is guest hosting Today this week with Bush Hager, had asked how she felt about seeing people be affectionate with each other in public, namely in amusement parks. “When you see people getting it in, how do you feel?” he asked.

Bush Hager couldn’t ignore the connotations of his question, which sounded more appropriate for Cinemax than it does for daytime television. “I like how you say ‘getting it in,’” she said, prompting him to laugh. “That sounds not television [safe]. ‘Getting it in’ sounds you know, Max.”
Through his laughter, Wade tried to explain his perspective.
“They’re getting that time in the they probably don’t get to have. They’re getting that public affection,” he said. He then embarrassedly bowed his head into his coffee.
“I don’t love when people are getting it in,” Bush Hager admitted. “I don’t know. I’m not against it. I’m snuggling and stuff, but full-on making out in an amusement park with Mickey [Mouse] ears and stuff kind of grosses me out.”
Wade doubled down on his point, saying, “I like love.”
“Whenever you find a moment to take that time and show your person some love, go ahead. Like, get in there,” he said. “Whenever I walk by somebody, I’m like, ‘Get in there bro.’ I’m that guy. I might hit them with a high-five. Why not? We need a little bit more love in this world.”
That seemed to sell the idea to Bush Hager who eventually agreed.
“That’s right and life is short. We should just go to amusement parks and make out with our spouses!” she said.
Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
