A viewer named Kathy had asked if she could keep in touch with her son’s ex-girlfriend, which both Bush Hager and Shriver agreed was probably not the best idea.

“I feel for Kathy because our kids come and they ask us to bring these people into our lives and make them like a daughter or a son,” Shriver said.

“Did you ever do that with any of your kids’ exes? Keep in touch with them?” Bush Hager then asked her. When Shriver denied it, Bush Hager began to move onto the next viewer’s question before she slyly asked, “No Miley Cyrus?”

Shriver laughed as she responded.

“I would be very happy to see Miley, I liked Miley,” she told Bush Hager. “I would be very happy to see her. But I did not stay texting her.”

Bush Hager accepted her answer as she moved onto the next question. But Shriver told her she was “sly” for asking it.

“Did you like that? I liked that too. I feel good about myself,” Bush Hager admitted with a mischievous smile.

Shriver’s comments come just as Patrick’s father, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, recently addressed Patrick’s short-lived romance with the Hannah Montana star. “She’s a wonderful, wonderful girl and human being,” Arnold told Andy Cohen during a recent visit to Watch What Happens Live, per E! News. “And very, very talented.”

He also maintained that he had no bad memories from their relationship.

“There is no worst part,” the Fubar actor said. “She was just a really good, good person and fun to hang out with. I’m sorry it didn’t work out.”

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
