Jaxson Dart posts heartfelt message to Cam Skattebo after injury in Giants loss
Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo have been one of the best stories for the Giants this season, and their friendship has been a source of joy for Giants fans.
So naturally, Skattebo was on Dart’s mind after the Giants’ loss to the Eagles, where the rookie back was carted off the field with a season-ending right ankle injury.

In a post on his Instagram Story, Dart posted a message to his friend and teammate about being in his corner.
“[heartbroken] my brother Mann,” Dart wrote in the post. “Got your back no matter what dawg! GODS PLAN.”
The Giants’ rookie quarterback also addressed the injury to his teammate after the game when speaking with reporters.
“I was devastated,” Dart said. “That’s my boy. Seeing him go down and reacting to what happened, it sucks. It’s the worst part of this game.”
Skattebo was injured during the second quarter after he went up to make a catch and he came down awkwardly, injuring his ankle.
The running back almost immediately appeared to be in pain, grabbing the top of his helmet and Giants guard Greg Van Roten signaled to the sideline for the medical staff to come out onto the field.
Skattebo had to be carted off the field and he waved to the crowd as he was heading back to the locker room.
Before Skattebo was taken off, he and Dart did their signature headbutt handshake.
Dart was incredibly emotional after the injury as Fox cameras captured the young quarterback yelling as he looked over at the injured Skattebo and then taking a knee, continuing to express his emotions over the injury.
Skattebo has had 101 rushing attempts for 410 yards and five touchdowns this season after the Giants took him in the fourth round of the draft in the spring.
