“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship,” the statement continued. “Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself — especially for our son, Cruz.”

DECIDER reached out to Bravo for comment.

Brittany Cartwright, who Taylor shares their four-year-old son Cruz with, filed for divorce from Taylor in August 2024. Taylor sought out in-patient mental health treatment in the midst of their separation, and has since opened up about his struggles with cocaine addiction. Meanwhile Season 2 of The Valley has shed light on these difficult moments.

During his June 17 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Taylor admitted he’s “utterly embarrassed” of his behavior shown on the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, which sparked some backlash ahead of his appearance on Andy Cohen’s late night talk show.

“I want to apologize to everybody who’s watching this right now. The stuff that was shown is pretty triggering to a lot of people,” he said.

Taylor and Cartwright’s co-stars have also weighed in throughout the season, which comes to an end with next Tuesday’s (July 22) episode. In interviews with DECIDER, Nia Sanchez and Kristen Doute noted how “hard” it was to watch everything unfold between the former couple, while Zack Wickham addressed the “manipulation” and “emotional beating down” Cartwright has endured at the hands of Taylor, and Tom Schwartz recalled the “very surreal moment” of being with Taylor when he was served divorce papers.
