The “fixed-wing multi-engine aircraft” crashed into a 2023 Toyota Camry in the southbound lane of I-95 in Cocoa, Fl. around 5:45 p.m. Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Shocking, up-close dashcam footage shows the plane diving into the busy rush-hour roadway and careening straight into the car while attempting an emergency landing.
The plane rear-ended the Camry and appeared to bounce on top of it before crashing down slightly to its left — sending sparks flying, according to the clip filmed from the car right behind the Camry.
The 57-year-old female Camry driver was taken to a local hospital and miraculously suffered only minor injuries, FHP authorities said.
The 27-year-old male pilot from Orlando and his 27-year-old male passenger from Temple Terrance were not injured during the freak crash, the officials added.
The pilot and passenger, who have not yet been named, remained on the scene, the FHP said.
“We just saw this plane drop out of the sky,” witness Jim Coffey told Spectrum News 13.
The plane was mere seconds away from colliding with Coffey’s vehicle, but instead flew over and crashed into the other car, he recalled.
“I noticed it was there, because there’s a plane right there, I was like, ‘Hopefully it lands to the side,” his son, Peter Coffey, who also witnessed the crash, said.
“I thought it might maybe aim around and not hit the car, but bam, the wheel just smacked right dab on the back of the car.”
“Fortunately, the car didn’t roll, it kind of mashed and went to the side,” Jim Coffey said.
Additional photos of the aftermath of the wreck showed the crumpled up trunk of the car and the plane, which appeared to have had its nose and wheel torn off.
The Federal Aviation Administration will take the lead on investigating the emergency landing incident. The FHP will conduct a crash investigation, authorities said.
The FAA did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
