“I’ve been storing these treasures for years, waiting for the right time to do something with them, and with all of the recent unexpected twists and turns life has presented recently, it’s clear that the time is now,” he told the outlet.

All proceeds from the auction, taking place from Dec. 5-7, will help the actor and his family with the financial burden of fighting cancer.

“While I have some nostalgia tugging at me as I part with these items, it feels good to be able to offer them through Propstore’s auction to share with those who have supported my work over the years,” he said.

Items on the chopping block include the necklace his character, Dawson, gifted Joey (portrayed by Katie Holmes) for prom, which is estimated to be worth between $26,400 and $52,800.

Also for sale is the outfit Dawson wore in the pilot episode, which is expected to fetch nearly $4,000.

Other wardrobe selections, props and set pieces are also included in the auction.

Additionally, Van Der Beek will be selling cherished collectables from his 1999 film, “Varsity Blues,” including the cleats he wore on set and a West Caana Coyotes Hat.

The TV star revealed he was secretly battling the aggressive form of cancer last November.

“I have colorectal cancer. I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family,” he told People at the time.

“There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good,” he added.

James and his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, both 48, share six children: Olivia, 15, Joshua, 13, Annabel, 11, Emilia, 9, Gwendolyn, 7, and Jeremiah, 4.

In September, James had to drop out of the “Dawson’s Creek” reunion due to his illness.

He admitted on his 48th birthday in March that he had “the hardest year” of his life.

“I had to come nose to nose with death,” he said, recalling how he could no longer provide for his family because he had to stop working.

However, he remained optimistic, sharing with his followers that he is deserving of love.

“I am worthy of God’s love, simply because I exist. And if I’m worthy of God’s love, shouldn’t I also be worthy of my own?” he mused.
