Both skaters were part of Team USA’s lineup at the NHL’s 4 Nations Faceoff last season.
This will be the first Olympic appearance for the two Rangers, who grew up and played youth hockey together in the Pittsburgh area.
Miller and Trocheck get to join head coach Mike Sullivan, assistant coach David Quinn and general manager Chris Drury — members of Team USA’s coaching staff and management — in Milan, Italy.

One notable American who was left off the Olympic roster was Adam Fox.
The Rangers No. 1 defenseman was one of the first six players named to Team USA’s 4 Nations roster, but did not make the cut this time around.

Urho Vaakanainen did not make Team Finland’s Olympic roster, either.
The Rangers defenseman has played just three games since Nov. 28, serving as a healthy scratch for a good portion of this season so far.
