The Season 2 finale of the hit CBS series, written by Elwood Reid and directed by Ken Olin, saw Colter (Justin Hartley) return home to Echo Ridge, California, where he not only reunited with his mom Mary Dove Shaw (Wendy Crewson), but he learned some major news about the suspicious death of his father, Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen).

Specifically, Colter learned that his dad’s old pal Otto Waldron (Alex Fernandez) was with him in the woods the night he died — not only that but he’s the one who threw Ashton off that cliff! When Colter pressed Otto for more info, he said he was only there that night because “she asked for my help.” She who? Colter’s mother! *GASP*

Technically, yes! Tracker is on tonight, Sunday, June 22, 2025. But it’s not a new episode. CBS will be re-airing Tracker Season 2, Episode 13, “Neptune” from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET.

For those who need a refresher, here’s Episode 213’s synopsis: “Colter travels to New York City to find a woman who vanished in the dressing room of an upscale clothing store.”

How Many Episodes Are In Tracker Season 2?

Tracker Season 1 consisted of 13 episodes, and Tracker Season 2 featured 20 episodes. As noted, Season 2, Episode 20, “Echo Ridge,” which aired on Sunday, May 11, was the sophomore season’s finale.

Will There Be A Tracker Season 3 On CBS?

You bet! On February 20, 2025, CBS renewed the popular survivalist drama for Season 3, which means Tracker will return with new episodes in the future. Back in February, CBS reported that Tracker hit over 18 million multi-platform viewers, up four percent year over year. And on May 7, 2025, CBS claimed another big win with Tracker taking the top spot in the network’s 2024-2025 season to date, averaging 17.5 million broadcast and streaming viewers per episode, per a Nielsen 35-day streaming report. It’s clear why CBS was eager to renew the hit series! So when is Tracker’s return date?

When Does Tracker Return With New Episodes On CBS? Tracker Season 3 Premiere Date:

As of June 22, an official Tracker Season 3 premiere date has yet to be announced, but CBS did confirm the series will return during the 2026-2027 broadcast season, which means fans will have to wait quite a while for new episodes.

To get a better idea of Tracker‘s release schedule so far, Season 1 aired from February to May 2024, but it was only 13 episodes. Tracker‘s 20-episode Season 2 aired from October 2024 to May 2025. Considering the sophomore season’s success, CBS may opt for another fall premiere date. But we’ll have to wait and see.
