Is the ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’ Movie Streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime or Peacock?

This holiday season you can spend another five nights being chased by evil animatronics in Five Nights At Freddy’s 2.

This is the sequel to the 2023 horror movie, Five Nights at Freddy’s, which is based on the video game franchise of the same name about a security guard at a family fun center, who finds himself at the mercy of four murderous animatronic killing machines every night. The sequel is directed by Emma Tammi, who also directed the first film, and written by Scott Cawthon, the original video game creator.

Josh Hutcherson reprises his role as Mike Schmidt, a former night security guard at the Chuck E. Cheese rip-off, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Emphasis on former— after Mike and his younger sister were nearly ripped to shreds by Freddy’s evil robot animals, you better believe he quit his job. (And hopefully, got some worker’s comp!) But a year later, he gets sucked back into the world of Freddy’s when his sister starts poking around into the origins of Freddy Fazbear.

Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard all return to the cast, with Skeet Ulrich, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Teo Briones joining in new roles. While the last FNAF movie went straight to streaming on Peacock, the sequel is going to theaters. Is the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is not streaming on Netflix, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Universal release. Almost all Universal movies go to the NBCUniversal streaming platform, Peacock.

You will be able to purchase Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital. You will also eventually be able to stream Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 on Prime Video, free with a Prime subscription, four months after the movie streams on Peacock.

This is thanks to the deal between Universal and Amazon that sends Universal movies to Peacock for the first four months of the “Pay 1 window,” then to Amazon Prime Video for the next months of the window, followed by four more months on Peacock. If our prediction for when Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will be on Peacock is correct, then you should see Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 streaming on Prime around July 2026.

But the first place you’ll be able watch Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie at home will be to buy or rent on digital platforms, followed by a streaming release on Peacock.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced, but you will likely see Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 streaming on Peacock this winter. Another Universal horror release, M3GAN 2.0, began streaming on Peacock about three months after the movie opened in theaters.

If Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital in about a month, around early January 2026, and streaming on Peacock around early February2026. That said, other Universal movies have taken just two months to come to Peacock, so you may see Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 on Peacock even earlier, around January 2026.

This is all speculation. Universal has not had a consistent digital release strategy. So it varies by title. If you want to watch the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie right away, your best bet is to catch the movie in theaters.
