Looking for last-minute Halloween plans for kids? Go ahead and take them to see Stitch Head in theaters, a new animated comedy horror film opening in movie theaters this weekend.

Written and directed by Steve Hudson, Stitch Head is based on the children’s book series of the same name by Guy Bass. Asa Butterfield stars as the voice of Stitch Head, a small, forgotten creature who’s been in a deep sleep in an abandoned castle. Then, one day, he’s brought to life by a mad professor (voiced by Rob Brydon), and instructed to look after the professor’s many other kooky creations. In other words, it’s Frankenstein, for kids.

Other voice actors in the Stitch Head cast include Joel Fry, Tia Bannon, Alison Steadman, Fern Brady, and Jamali Maddix. It sounds like a fun, silly, spooky watch for parents and kids alike. But if you’d rather wait to watch the movie from the comfort of your couch, here’s what we know about when the Stitch Head movie will be available on streaming.

Where to watch the Stitch Head movie:

For now, Stitch Head will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on October 29. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Stitch Head is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is the Stitch Head movie streaming on Disney+?

Stitch Head is not streaming on Disney+, and will not be on Disney+ any time soon, due to the fact that the film is not a Disney movie. Not every animated movie is a Disney movie! Instead, the film will likely be released on digital platforms in the next few weeks.

Is the Stitch Head movie streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?

Stitch Head is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video right now. While it’s possible Stitch Head may stream on Netflix someday, it won’t be until after the theatrical run and digital release of the movie. Stitch Head is not a Netflix original—it’s a small, independent film being distributed by Briarcliff Entertainment in the U.S. Another Briarcliff Entertainment movie, The Hill, did eventually stream on Netflix, about five months after it opened in theaters, so it is possible you’ll see Stitch Head on Netflix someday. But many other Briarcliff Entertainment movies never streamed on Netflix. There’s not enough data for an accurate prediction at this time.

You will be able to purchase Stitch Head on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Stitch Head on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription, because it is not a Prime original movie.
