Heartland has captured the hearts of Netflix subscribers. But is the Canadian family drama leaving for good?

Seasons 1-16 are currently streaming on Netflix, though the series first premiered back in 2007 on Canada’s CBC Television. Led onscreen by Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Shaun Johnston, Chris Potter, and Graham Wardle, the show, which is set at a ranch in Alberta, is based on Lauren Brooke’s Heartland series, which spans 25 novels.

The series scored a Season 19 renewal on May 1, per the show’s social media. Filming on the upcoming installment, which features the show’s milestone 275th episode, kicked off in mid-May.

Is Heartland leaving Netflix?

Unfortunately, Netflix has listed a notice on the title on the platform, which reads that the “last day to watch on Netflix” is July 31.

When reached by What’s on Netflix via a support chat, the streamer shared that “Netflix licenses TV shows and movies from studios around the world.”

“Although we strive to keep the titles you want to watch, some titles may leave Netflix due to licensing agreements,” they added. “Whenever a TV show or movie license is expiring, we consider things such as: If the rights to the title are still available, how popular it is in a region, and how much it costs to license.”

Where else can I watch Heartland?

Heartland Seasons 1-18 are streaming on UP Faith & Family, which has been releasing new episodes from the 10-episode-long Season 18 on Thursdays.

Don’t have a subscription? The first 15 seasons of the series are available on Prime Video, Peacock Premium, Tubi, Freevee, and the Roku Channel, while Seasons 1-17 are available to watch on Hallmark+.
