Netflix’s gothic darling Wednesday is back and bringing viewers more gloom and doom than ever before. But while Season 1 boasts an episode count of eight, Season 2 seems to have fallen short with only four episodes released as of today. How can this be? Much to her disgust, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) returns to Nevermore Academy a hero after saving the school in Season 1. She receives unwanted attention from the new academy principal (Steve Buscemi), her mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and brother Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) who must join her at school, and even a mysterious stalker. Plagued with visions that literally make her eyes bleed, she must unmask a crow-loving murderer before it’s too late — and before her family gets on her nerves too much. 

So Season 2 only has four episodes right now — what’s up with that? Give us more, Netflix! Here’s what we know about how many episodes there will be of Wednesday Season 2.

How Many Episodes Are In Season 2 Of Wednesday?

Here’s the deal — eventually, there will in fact be eight long episodes of Wednesday Season 2 on Netflix. However, Netflix decided to do that annoying thing again where they split a season of a series in half, releasing one half all at once and saving the other half to be released around a month or so later. Netflix did the same thing with Bridgerton Season 3 last year to the horror and agitation of viewers everywhere. At least it’s fitting with Wednesday — now we know how the central character feels all the time.

So, In That Case, When Do All The Episodes Of Wednesday Season 2 Come Out?

The first four episodes in Season 2, Part 1 have just been released as of today (Aug. 6) for you to stream all the way through in one afternoon. For the next four episodes in Season 2, Part 2, you’ll have to wait a bit longer — until Sept. 3, as Netflix has announced. Why do they do this to us?
