Her grandfather, Peter Middleton, was a military pilot who served in World War II, and Prince William served in the RAF after graduating from university.
The Princess of Wales, 43, who stood next to her stepmother-in-law, Queen Camilla, 78, was dressed in all black, as protocol requires.
She wore a Catherine Walker jacket and a fascinator with a ribbon, along with a red poppy affixed to her jacket.
Remembrance Day is celebrated each November in the U.K. to honor military veterans who served the Commonwealth. Red poppies are often worn to commemorate those who have fallen.
The two women watched the proceedings at the Cenotaph, while Prince William, 43, and King Charles III, 76, marched in the annual memorial parade and laid wreaths.
On Saturday, Kate attended the Festival of Remembrance in London.
She brought her eldest son, Prince George, 12. It was George’s first time attending the event.
Also in attendance were the King and Queen; Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh; and Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, for the traditional gathering at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
