How Gwyneth Paltrow’s kids reacted to her and Timothée Chalamet’s ‘Marty Supreme’ kiss

Gwyneth Paltrow’s two children had wildly different reactions to her viral makeout with “Marty Supreme” co-star Timothée Chalamet last week.

While the actress’ “cool” 21-year-old daughter, Apple, was “so punk rock” and called the PDA pics “awesome,” Paltrow’s son, Moses, said he did “not want to see.”

The 19-year-old was “kind of mortified,” Paltrow told the Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Wednesday.

“I do think they’re actually excited to see this film,” the Oscar winner said of the movie, out Christmas Day.

“Now they’re grown up and they can make this separation,” she explained. “I’m sure they’ll gag when I’m having a makeout scene, of course.

“It’s funny, they haven’t really seen me in movies,” Paltrow, who co-parents Apple and Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin, continued. “Historically, they like me home, as Mom, and they don’t like to engage with the outside perspective of who I am.”

She noted that her “LA mom close friends and … English mummy friends” were “thrilled” when she was photographed locking lips with Chalamet, 29, while filming a scene in November 2024.

“They were all texting me,” Paltrow recalled. “They know I don’t look at any rubbish sites, so they’re all sending me these pictures, like, ‘Yessss, G.P.!’”

The “Shakespeare in Love” star said the same on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last year, calling the responses “pretty funny.”

She told viewers, “That was bad. It’s just like, you’re trying to have this scene and you know it’s a private moment, and then there are paparazzi.”

On Wednesday, Paltrow gushed about the “freedom around [the] exploration” of sexuality, saying it “resonates in film.”

The Golden Globe winner, who joked that she is now “less inclined to get naked” onscreen than in her younger years, said, “Our sexuality is such an important part of who we are.”

“Now they’re grown up and they can make this separation,” she explained.

She added, “People underestimate women as the consumer. We drive markets — we create markets, so of course a 40-something woman is going to be excited about an intimate scene with Timothée Chalamet.

“And of course women are going to be excited about this idea that there’s agency around sexuality and that older women are sexual,” Paltrow continued. “So I think it’s great, I’m all for it.”

She “ascribes to [the same] philosophy” as Nicole Kidman, who Paltrow praised for having a “f–k it” attitude and feeling “completely free as an artist to explore.”

Paltrow, notably, spoke candidly about her sex life during a May 2023 “Call Her Daddy” podcast episode — and her eldest child was unbothered by that as well.

The Vanderbilt University student was on set during the episode’s recording and filmed a playful TikTok covering her ears.

“LMAOO ily Apple thanks for supporting the show… and your mom on this ep,” host Alex Cooper captioned the social media upload.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
