“We have no further comment at this time.”
The team did not mention a name.
Dacoda Nichole Jones, who has two children with Rice, alleged in her post that she “dealt with abuse for years” and that after a breakup between “me and this man” a couple months ago, it’s been “nothing but hell.”
Rice has yet to publicly address the matter, as of Thursday morning.
Jones, who did not name her alleged abuser, included multiple photos of bruises and scratches on her face and body.
She said she’s “so tired of protecting his image” and that “it’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself.”
Jones also alleged that her ex damaged her property, locked her outside in the cold while she was pregnant and abandoned her and her kids in Kansas.
“And there’s multiple instances of cheating but besides that I’m just tired of him not doing right by my boys,” Jones wrote. “It’s not fair he doesn’t call them. He rather be laid up with hoes.
“He literally left us in Kansas and I had to beg him to send money so that I could drive to Texas with my kids and all our stuff. We have an agreement because of everything he’s put me through and he still doesn’t follow it. He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason.”
On Wednesday, WFAA reported that a source close to Rice said Jones is upset that Rice has moved on and is now dating someone else, and described Jones as a disgruntled ex-girlfriend.
In another off-the-field incident, Rice pleaded guilty to charges for his role in a high-speed crash in Dallas that injured several people during the 2024 season.
He was sentenced to five years of deferred probation and 30 days in Dallas County Jail, which he must complete during his probation window.
Rice served a six-game suspension as a result of the incident, and he agreed to pay more than $1 million in a settlement to the crash victims.
The Post reached out Wednesday to the NFL, Jones and Rice’s agents, C.J. Laboy, Quincy Peyton and Alexis Ramos, for comment.
