“As a devoted family man, Terry cherished time with his loved ones,” read the program viewed by Us Weekly, referencing Hulk’s real name, Terry Gene Bollea.
“He was a proud father of Brooke and Nick, a stepfather to Maddox, Hayden and Leighton, and embraced his role as a loving husband to Sky,” the pamphlet continued.
“His beloved family will carry on his legacy, and his impact on the wrestling world and popular culture will be felt for generations.”
The program also included a collage of photos featuring Hulk with Brooke, 37, and his son, Nick Hogan, 35, whose mother is Hulk’s first wife, Linda Hogan, 65.
On Tuesday, family and friends gathered at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Fla., to pay their respects to the WWE Hall of Famer, who married his wife, Sky Daily, 46, in September 2023.
Hulk died at the age of 71 after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater. Page Six later revealed his cause of death was acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.
The athlete also had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is a heart condition characterized by an irregular and often rapid heart rate.
Additionally, Hulk had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells called lymphocytes, which was not public knowledge.
He requested to be cremated.
As for Brooke, from whom Hulk had been estranged for several years, she told her Instagram followers that her “father hated the morbidity of funerals” and “didn’t want one.”
Therefore, she spent the day at the beach with her husband, Steven Oleksy, and their 6-month-old twins, Oliver and Molly.
“As his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him.”
The singer shared that the “only thing missing” from her family’s beach outing was Hulk sitting in his pop-up lawn chair, “watching the waves … and the sunset.”
Speaking to him directly, she said, “Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved.”
Following Hulk’s passing, Brooke — who asked to be removed from his will to avoid conflict with other family members — clarified to her Instagram followers that her “sacred, quiet bond” with her dad had “never been broken” despite him putting up a “force field … [she] couldn’t get through.”
Brooke has also cast doubt on Hulk’s “weird” leukemia battle, pointing to the fact that he’d had numerous surgeries in recent years — most recently in May — which require blood testing that would have detected a high white blood cell count.
