Hit-and-run driver kills two pedestrians on NYC street before zooming off: cops


Two men were killed when a hit-and-run BMW driver rammed into them as they crossed a Brooklyn street early Friday, cops said.

The two men, 80 and 59, were crossing Third Avenue at 52nd Street in Sunset Park around 4:20 a.m. when the motorist struck them while heading south on the avenue, authorities said.

The reckless driver cruised off in the dark-colored sedan, leaving the two lifeless men on the pavement, police said.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

It did not appear the two victims were walking together, and cops believe both were simply at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The hit-and-run driver had not been caught by the late morning.
