Heidi Klum defends her signature bikini and lingerie photos with daughter Leni
Heidi Klum isn’t done stripping down for the cameras.
The supermodel, who catapulted to fame in the early ’90s, still likes to “run around sexy” at age 52, she told People.

“For me to be older, it doesn’t matter,” Klum said. “I don’t have this age-shaming or body-shaming thing. I feel like everyone should do what they want to do.”
The mother of four provided some words of wisdom for those who have hit the half-century mark.
“The biggest misconception [about] being in your 50s is that you are off the shelf,” she explained.
“You’re not off the shelf.
We are very much on that shelf for everyone to see. Don’t hide in your 50s. Beauty is ever-changing, and I’m here for the change. If it’s always the same, life is boring.”
This summer, Klum has been frolicking around in her itty-bitty bikinis. For a vacation with husband Tom Kaulitz, 35, earlier this month, the model flaunted her toned figure in a red string swimsuit.
Klum reflected on the early days of her decades-long career, recalling the modeling world before the birth of social media.
“I’ve been photographing nude or in lingerie since 1992, way before Instagram,” the former Victoria’s Secret Angel told the publication.
“So for me, it’s nothing new. For the past 15 years, other people are now doing what I’ve been doing for 30 years,” she explained. “Instead of being in my little bottoms in a magazine, I’m on Instagram. It’s the same thing.”
Klum has received backlash for doing lingerie photo shoots for Italian brand Intimissimi with her 21-year-old daughter Leni, causing her to turn off the comments on her Instagram due to criticism.
Klum addressed the controversy over the imagery. “A lot of people are like, ‘Oh, I don’t know about mom and daughter doing this together.’”
“But for us? I’m proud of my daughter. She’s fine with me like that.”
Klum added that she’s always been “very open” with her body. “When I’m suntanning in the backyard, I might not have a top on.
I’m European …my kids don’t know me any other way and are probably more easygoing with their bodies because of it.”
Seems like Klum has no plans to change — haters or not.
