“I haven’t thought about it,” James, 39, told The Post.
The Phelps twins were promoting their Food Network show, “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking,” which returns Nov. 2 (8 p.m) and also streams on HBO Max.
“We only know where everybody else knows,” James added. “It’s something not connected with us at all.”
When asked if they plan to watch the TV show, Oliver, 39, said, “I won’t know until I probably come closer to it.”
“We’ve always got that bond of being the first [cast] group together,” he explained. “Because when we were filming, we didn’t know how big it was going to be from the first movie. It could have been a one and done, or it could have been as [big as it is] today. We’ll see what happens.”
The actor described his friendships with his former co-stars as “like old friends from college or high school.” The group tends to “dip in and out” of each other’s lives, but they “pick up where you left off.”
The Phelps twins played Fred and George in the Potter movies, which came out between 2001 and 2011.
Oliver has been married to Katy Humpage since 2015, and the couple share two children, while James has been married to Annika Ostle since 2016.
Oliver noted that he may end up watching the show because “my daughter probably will like it.”
He added that his one wish for the show is, “the lads who are playing Fred and George in the new series – I would like that they just enjoy it, as much as we did.”
The “Harry Potter” show doesn’t have an announced premiere date yet, but it’s expected to debut in 2026. Each season will follow one of J.K. Rowling’s seven “Harry Potter” books.
The show has cast Dominic McLaughlin to play Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton in the role of Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
In the original movie franchise, the roles were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, respectively.
Twins Tristan and Gabriel Harland will play Fred and George in the show.
John Lithgow, meanwhile, will take on the role of Professor Albus Dumbledore, while Nick Frost has been cast as Hagrid.
The show has gotten a mixed reception from the original Potter movie cast and crew.
Chris Columbus, who directed the first two movies, remarked in an August appearance on “The Rest Is Entertainment” podcast that when he saw photos of the show’s version of Hagrid and Harry, “he’s wearing the exact same costume that we designed for Hagrid. Part of me was like: What’s the point?”
“I thought everything was going to be different, but it’s more of the same,” he added. “It’s all going to be the same.”
Radcliffe, 36, for his part, said “I don’t think so” when asked by E! News if he’ll appear in the show.
Radcliffe wasn’t completely against the idea of a TV show, however.
He told the outlet May 2024, “I’m very happy to just watch along with everyone else.”
