All along, there was some invisible string.
Kayla Nicole admitted her seemingly shady Halloween costume was tied to someone named Taylor — but it’s not her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift.

The 34-year-old insisted to her “Pre-Game” podcast listeners on Saturday that she recreated Toni Braxton’s look from her “He Wasn’t Man Enough” music video because of a “very specific” childhood memory.
“I had a white best friend. Her name was Taylor,” Nicole recalled. “And she [had] the only house I could go over to as a kid because my mom didn’t play them type of games.”
“I specifically remember driving home from private school in my uniform in the back of a paddy wagon with Taylor, and her mom was playing this song,” she added.
At the time, Nicole experienced an “ah ha moment.”
She remembered thinking to herself, “Wow, white people listen to black people music as well.”
Social media users called out Nicole via X for mentioning her pal’s name, claiming “some things are better left unsaid.”
Another speculated the “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” alum was using Swift’s first name as a key word “to get engagement” online.
A third pointed out, “Even if she did have a friend named Taylor, that little anecdote had no relevance to anything.”
Swifties clocked Nicole’s costume as an apparent dig at Kelce, 36, and Swift, 35, when she posted a picture of the outfit on Friday via Instagram.
“She’s an icon. She’s a legend. She’s @tonibraxton circa 2000,” Nicole captioned the upload.
But many of Nicole’s followers celebrated the diss, insisting she had “the last laugh.”
Nicole and Kelce dated on and off between 2017 and 2022.
The Kansas City Chiefs player moved on with Swift the following year and proposed to the singer in August 2025.
In October, the singer made headlines for appearing to shade Nicole in the “Opalite” love song off her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
The record’s third track featured savage lyrics, reading, “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.”
A throwback video subsequently resurfaced online showing Nicole and Kelce butting heads over the former’s phone usage, with the athlete begging his then-girlfriend to “get off” her cell during a date.
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
