Hailey Bieber pays homage to iconic Gisele Bündchen shoot in new Victoria’s Secret ad

Hailey Bieber might not be an official Victoria’s Secret Angel, but she sure looks heavenly.

After the brand teased an appearance by the model on Instagram Tuesday, Bieber was dubbed the “queen of hearts,” ahead of Valentine’s Day.

In a video captioned, “because Valentine’s Day commands main-character energy,” the model sits in the bottom drawer of an ornate wooden dresser, painting her toenails and wearing a pink-and-black polka-dot bra ($45) and panty ($17) set.

Super-fans of the lingerie brand will recognize the video as a re-creation of an iconic shoot from the early-aughts, featuring fellow Brazilian beauty Gisele Bündchen.

An image of Bündchen in the same position originally covered the Victoria’s Secret’s Spring 2001 catalog, serving as an ad for their fragrance, “Think Pink.”

Though Bieber has never walked in one Victoria’s Secret renowned fashion shows, as compared to Bündchen’s eight appearances on the iconic runway, she’s appeared in tons of ads for the company in recent years after she joined during its 2021 rebrand.

The new campaign was photographed by Adrienne Raquel, capturing the 29-year-old in the same high ponytail, knees bent post with similar perfume bottles and pale pink roses on top of the dresser.

Other images from the campaign show Bieber in various other looks, including a pink embroidered bra ($75) and thong ($30) with garters ($40), lying among lit candles in the same room, doing her makeup while wearing a pink silk sleep set ($60), and reclining on her back wearing a hot pink bodysuit ($70) and low-rise jeans ($90)

As Valentine’s Day fast approaches, Victoria’s Secret is giving the gift of ultra-feminine lingerie and nostalgia.
