Golden Globes 2026: ‘The Studio’s Seth Rogen Wins, Still Doesn’t Thank Sal Saperstein
“We Globezing! We Globezing, y’all!”
The 83rd Golden Globes — aka “Hollywood’s Party of the Year” — aired Sunday, January 11 on CBS and in a very meta move, The Studio‘s Seth Rogen won the award for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

Why is it meta, you ask? Because the acclaimed Apple TV series, which shines a satirical spotlight on Hollywood and the inner workings of the entertainment industry, has a whole episode titled, “The Golden Globes.” Rogen and team recreated the awards ceremony for the star-studded episode, and now, he’s living it!
The Studio guest stars Zoë Kravitz and Dave Franco presented the award to Rogen, who was up against Chad Powers’ Glen Powell, The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, Nobody Wants This’ Adam Brody, and Only Murders in the Building’s Martin Short and Steve Martin.
“This is so weird! We just pretended to do this, and now it’s happening!” Rogen said with a chuckle after accepting very real Golden Globe statue. “I thought the only way I’d get to hold one is to create a whole show to give myself a fake one.”
“Congratulations to everyone here, especially those who are seated in this lower level here. That’s a real honor,” Rogen joked, making light of his own table placement. “If you win, you should get to come down, I think. The other nominees, it’s incredible. Steve Martin and Martin Short, especially, I remember growing up watching you guys my whole life thinking, ‘One day I’m going to beat them.’ I did not think that.”
“An actor is really only as good as people they get to perform with and I’m very lucky to choose those people, so I really want to thank the other performers on the show. Chase is here, Kathryn Hahn’s here somewhere, Catherine O’Hara, Ted Sarandos, Dave and Zoë, Jean Smart, everyone else who was here and part of the cast of the show. I can’t thank you enough. I’ll Get out of here now. Thank you!”
One person he didn’t thank? STILL? Sal Saperstein! The man, the myth, the legend, the star of The Studio Episode 8, “The Golden Globes.” C’MON SETH, WE LOVE YOU BUT NOT AGAIN!
Earlier this year, The Studio took home the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy Series, and stars Rogen and Ike Barinholtz (Saperstein himself) won acting awards in the comedy series categories. The Studio is also nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy at the 2026 Golden Globes, so perhaps our “Thank you, Sal Saperstein!” dreams still have time to come true.
