Glen Powell’s ex Gigi Paris debuts romance with former NFL player after Sydney Sweeney drama

Gigi Paris has moved on.

A year and a half after a drama-filled breakup from Glen Powell, the model made her red carpet debut with her new boyfriend.

Paris, 33, attended Monday’s 2025 Angel Ball in New York City with retired NFL player Cooper Helfet, 36, where the two posed for pictures together.

For the outing, the brunette beauty looked elegant in a champagne-colored silk gown, which she accessorized with a diamond-and-emerald necklace, matching stud earrings and a black clutch.

As for the former Seattle Seahawks tight end, he paired a classic black suit with a white collared shirt and a tie that matched his girlfriend’s dress.

Paris and Powell, 37, broke up in April 2024 after more than three years of dating. By that time, the actor and his “Anyone But You” co-star Sydney Sweeney had already sparked romance rumors by looking loved-up on the set of the rom-com. A flirty press tour followed.

A “shattered” Paris reflected on the split during a June episode of the “Too Much Podcast,” claiming Powell told her of his amorous rapport with Sweeney, “This is what I have to do for my job.”

Paris felt like she “had two options.”

On the one hand, she could “pretend like [she] was going along with” the speculation and “have everyone wonder” whether she was “OK” with Powell and Sweeney, 28, “hooking up.”

The alternative was to “stand up” for herself and “say, ‘No, I’m actually not OK with this, and I’m walking away,’” which is what she “decided to do.”

“I just wanted respect, especially if it’s gonna be public,” she explained. “Like, don’t make an ass out of me. Like, just don’t make a fool out of someone you’ve been with for over three years, talking about forever with. Just have some decency, you know?”

Paris also slammed Powell for not shutting down all the chatter by simply saying, “No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend.”

However, “that wasn’t said, never once,” and she believes that’s because the gossip was “serving them for their PR” for their film.

Paris lamented, “What sucked was how it was handled. I felt like I was just fed to the dogs.”

Sweeney’s relationship took a hit as well, as she and her former fiancé, Jonathan Davino, also broke up after “Anyone But You.”

Days later, the actress went to Powell’s sister’s wedding, which fanned the flames of their rumored real-life fling.

Meanwhile, Powell addressed his split from Paris just last month, telling GQ, “I will always have nothing but love for her and respect for her. Everybody’s always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she’s welcome to it.”

The actor, who acknowledged that “relationships are really hard,” added that “when two people break up, they each go to their own brunch, and they will each tell their own narrative.”

He went on to credit his “Top Gun: Maverick” co-star Tom Cruise with giving him advice on how to navigate rumors about his love life.

“He basically said, ‘Hey, it’s going to get really, really loud. It’s your job to just turn the volume down. Just remember you have your hand on that switch. You have your hand on the ability to turn up that noise or turn it down,’” Powell recalled.

He shared that “turning down the noise and trusting [his] own gut” has been “a real godsend” for him.
