Exploremores are a rocky road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookie, with flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond–flavored crème.
A press release said that “Exploremores reflect the spirit of exploration at the heart of every Girl Scout.”
The new cookies will be available early next year nationally, both online and in person at local booths, alongside fan favorites like Thin Mints.
Other flavors fans can expect for the 2026 season include Adventurefuls, Caramel Chocolate Chip, Samoas (or Caramel deLites), Do-si-dos (or Peanut Butter Sandwich), Lemonades, Lemon-Ups, Tagalongs (or Peanut Butter Patties), Toffee-tastic and Trefoils.
The addition of Exploremores comes after two beloved cookie flavors, Girl Scout S’mores and Toast-Yay!, were retired at the close of the 2025 season.
S’mores were introduced in 2017 as “crunchy graham sandwich cookies with chocolate and marshmallow filling,” while Toast-Yay!, introduced in 2021, was known as “full of French toast flavor” dipped in icing.
The new cookie comes after a rough 2024-2025 season in which sales for Girl Scouts of Greater New York tumbled to just 1.1 million boxes, down from 1.2 million the previous yar — and their lowest sales in the region since the 2013-2014 season.
The GSUSA continues its mission to encourage young girls to “unbox a world of possibilities” and develop entrepreneurial skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.
“With each cookie box sold, consumers are supporting Girl Scouts as they learn, grow and thrive through all of life’s adventures,” the press release said.
“All proceeds from cookie sales stay local with Girl Scout councils and troops to help fund life-changing programs, experiences and learnings all year long.”
