Normally $10.99/month, right now, you can subscribe to HBO Max’s “Basic with Ads” plan for just $2.99/month for one year. Over the next 12 months, you’ll save nearly $100.

What to watch on HBO Max

With a content library so massive, you’ll definitely need an entire year to make even the smallest dent in everything HBO Max has to offer.

Of course, with HBO in the name, you already know some of what to expect. All of HBO’s currently-airing shows drop on the streaming service at the same time new episodes air on cable. You can also dive into the shows of HBO past, like “Succession,” “Sex and the City,” “Girls,” and “Game of Thrones,” just to name a few.

There are also HBO Max Originals, like “The Pitt,” which returns for Season 2 in January. The service also carries new movies from Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, and A24, making it an invaluable streamer for anyone trying to catch up on films by Oscars season.

With that, here are some recommendations from your favorite shopping experts, the Post Wanted team.

I’m our resident streaming reporter, so the better question is, what haven’t I been watching on HBO Max? I was basically raised on Food Network, and I must admit, most of the time I’m opening HBO Max, it’s to watch “Beat Bobby Flay.” I also can’t get enough of ‘Heated Rivalry,’ I never plan on shutting up about ‘The Righteous Gemstones‘ even after the show wrapped up a four season run earlier this year, and I think I’m about to make “Mad Men,” which was added to HBO Max on Dec. 1, my next binge watch..

The Post’s VP of Commerce Jackie Goldstein has been “loving ‘It: Welcome to Derry‘! I loved first “IT” remake, but skipped the second. I didn’t intend to watch this but then Adam [Schubak, Post Wanted’s Senior Manager of Growth] recommended it and I’ve been completely hooked. I love looking forward to a Sunday at 9pm, the HBO classic!”

“Watching ‘I Love LA‘ has been such a fever dream of, “Wow, was I like this?” to laughing so hard and cringing from how relatable the cast and dialogue feels,” Michelle Moezam, Sr. Commerce Social Media Marketing Manager says. “We all remember Rachel Sennott’s viral LA twitter video and I love the hallucination (“I Love LA”) that ultimately stemmed from that onto my TV. Brilliant and horrible.”

Two shows in particular caught Elana Fishman’s (Page Six Style and Shopping director) attention this year. “In an age of endless Hollywood reboots and remakes, I appreciate that HBO Max backs projects that are wild, weird and completely original. ‘The Rehearsal’ comes to mind — Season 2 of Nathan Fielder’s series was even better than the first, in my opinion — as does Tim Robinson’s ‘The Chair Company,’ which was just renewed for a second season. Packed with cringe comedy, these two shows definitely aren’t for everyone, but they made me laugh harder than anything else on TV this year.”
