“We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up,” the actor, 64, told E! News last week.
“It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us,” Clooney added, before explaining that “Ocean’s 14″ will “probably start in about nine or 10 months, shooting.”
The Post reached out to Warner Bros. for comment.
The film was a 2001 blockbuster remake of the original 1960 movie starring Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin.
In 2004, “Ocean’s 12” premiered, also starring Vincent Cassel and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
“Thirteen” hit theaters in 2007, and brought on Ellen Barkin and Al Pacino, while spin-off “Ocean’s Eight” premiered in 2018 and featured Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, and Rihanna, among other A-listers.
All projects were directed by Steven Soderbergh.
The first “Ocean’s” film grossed nearly $451 million at the box office.
In the series, Clooney portrays mastermind thief Danny Ocean, with Roberts, 57, starring as his ex-wife Tess.
When E! News asked about reuniting with Pitt, 61, and his other co-stars, Clooney shared, “Yeah, Brad, Matt and Don and Julia. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun.”
There have also been reports that an “Ocean’s” prequel film is in development. The plot is said to focus on Danny’s parents played by Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
“Yeah! Margot Robbie is my mother? I’ve always thought that,” the “Descendents” star said to People. “Ryan Gosling is my father. Now when you think about it, it makes sense. Truly.”
“I can’t really say much,” said producer Josey McNamara. “But I think we’re just trying to do right by the franchise.”
McNamara added that he’s “excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”
That same year, Clooney teased the upcoming “Ocean’s” movie.
“We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we may end up doing another one,” he told Uproxx.
“It’s actually a great script,” Clooney gushed.
The “Ticket to Paradise” alum, meanwhile, lives his private life mainly out of Hollywood.
After leaving Los Angeles for Europe, Clooney, his wife and twins recently relocated to New York City so the actor could star in the Broadway adaptation of his 2005 film, “Good Night, and Good Luck.”
“They love being here. I mean, come on, how do you not love this? It’s New York City,” Clooney gushed at the time.
