Sanchez, 38, was involved in a late-night altercation Friday outside a bar in Indianapolis, where he was slated to call Sunday’s game between the Colts and Raiders.

The former NFL quarterback was stabbed in the chest during a spat with a 69-year-old man, who claimed he acted in self-defense and alleged Sanchez was the aggressor, according to Fox 59/CBS4.

Sanchez was said to have been “acting erratically” prior to the incident, “doing wind sprints in the alley before the stabbing occurred,” a source told the local outlet.

He was hospitalized and charged later in the day with misdemeanor counts of battery with injury, public intoxication and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.
