Florida man Henrry Antunez-Avarad naked Planet Fitness rampage leads Lee County Sheriff to tanning bed

No tan — no gain.

A naked Florida man started a fire, tore holes into the ceiling and wreaked havoc inside a Planet Fitness before police exposed him hiding in a tanning bed, according to cops.

Henrry Antunez-Avarad’s alleged nude rampage was uncovered by Lee County Sheriff’s deputies inside the Venice, Florida gym just before midnight on July 19.

The 25-year-old au naturel gym-goer allegedly became erratic and exposed himself after he was asked to leave the facility at closing time, officials said.

“Saturday night, deputies responded to the Planet Fitness on South Tamiami Trail after reports of a naked man running through the gym, crawling into the ceiling, and attempting to start a fire in the bathroom,” the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies arrived at the gym, finding smoke lingering in the men’s locker room bathroom and ceiling panels ripped to the ground, according to body camera footage shared by the sheriff’s office.

Security cameras captured Antunez-Avarad baring all across the gym floor, entering multiple rooms and laying down – stark naked – on a hydro massage bed.

Deputies at first suspected the naked man was in the ceiling because of the extensive damage.

“It definitely looks like he is trying to get into the roof,” one deputy says over the radio. “Multiple locker rooms with him tearing out tile.”

A K-9 was brought inside to search for the unclothed individual.

The four-pawed officer alerted its handler to a closed tanning room, where Antunez-Avarad was hiding.

Deputies drew their guns and breached the closed off room, exposing the suspect inside one of the gym’s tanning beds.

Antunez-Avarad was “located a little sun-kissed,” officials said.

The alleged nudey trespasser was ordered to slide out of the machine before deputies jumped on top of the naked man and detained him.

He was placed in the back of a squad car before being pulled back out for officials to wrap a towel around his naked body.

Antunez-Avarad was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure (Exposure of Sexual Organs), Arson, Fraud-Impersonation for giving false identification to police, Damage of Property over $1,000 and smuggling contraband (weapons or explosives) into prison.

He is being held in county jail with a court hearing set for Aug. 18, according to jail records viewed by The Post.

Antunez-Avarad was previously arrested in 2023 and charged with prowling, trespassing and attempted burglary.
