The former Philadelphia Eagles player, 37, traded his salt and pepper beard for a jet-black look, which eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot in the teaser, where Swift announced her 12th studio album, “The Life Of A Showgirl.”
Though Swifties were of course focused on the music news, many were distracted by the dark facial hair. “the craziest s—t about this entire announcement is that Jason Kelce dyed his beard,” a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“🤣 I noticed that immediately!” one person commented. “I’m glad it wasn’t just me!” a second added.
Meanwhile, another X user said, “The real reveal is that Jason dyed his beard.”
“He knew he was going to be a part of history,” someone pointed out in the comment section, as the clip has already gone viral, of course.
“So I wanted to show you something,” Swift said in the teaser clip — which was posted at 12:12 a.m. on August 12 — as she reached for a mint green briefcase featuring her initials in orange font.
“This is my brand new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’” the musician revealed while Jason screamed. “TS12!” Travis enthusiastically chimed in.
In the short video, Swift is seen wearing her own merchandise — a $50 “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” poplin button-up with seagulls on the back while Jason, ever the excited Swiftie himself, also wore his own Eras Tour long-sleeved shirt.
The highly-anticipated episode will drop tomorrow at 7p.m. EST.
