Love and her companion were invited over to Norwood’s Simi Valley, California home for Thanksgiving and brought the kids to stay overnight, according to new documents asking to modify the protective order.

After the kids went to bed, the reality star and her friend got really drunk and were in no condition to drive, Ray’s filing claimed.

The estranged couple then got into a verbal fight. Leading to Princess Love attempting to remove the kids from the upstairs master bedroom, according to the documents.

“Defendants baby mama and her male friend attempted to wake the defendant’s children and drive them away from the home. The possession of a gun was to prevent the victims from physically removing them from the home and placing them in the vehicle of an extremely intoxicated person,” the documents say.

The reality star is asking the judge to be able to see his children, and is asking for the protective order to be modified.

“This occurred when he was protecting his children. There’s no reason to separate him from his two children,” Norwood’s lawyer Alex Kessel told the Post outside a Los Angeles courtroom Friday.

Kessel asked for a continuance in the case.

He went on to say that Princess Love also wants Norwood to see his kids, and plans for her to testify to in his favor. “I think that’s important testimony to have the mother here, so we’re going to arrange that.”

“The children’s mother does not object to the defendant having contact with their two children,” the court papers say.

Ray J can also be heard allegedly threatening to shoot and kill an unidentified man in the house.

“Drive drunk, Princess,” Norwood can be heard saying. “Want to take my kids, you and your drunk cousin, ‘cause y’all drunk as f–k and y’all alcoholics. Take my kids then, go ahead.”

Princess Love filed for divorce from Ray J back in February 2024 for the fourth time. It marked their fourth divorce attempt since May 2020 as they’ve continuously dismissed their previous requests while working through their differences.

Norwood’s manager, mother, and father attended the hearing asking for a continuance today. “He has a very supportive family who loves him and will support him.” his mother said.
