“You know what? I don’t think enough people talk about that,” the actress, 54, exclusively told The Post after week two of “Dancing With the Stars.”

“So maybe you should start something!”

The 1999 project follows an “awkward Roman Catholic high-school student Mary Katherine Gallagher (Molly Shannon)” who “dreams about dating popular student Sky Corrigan (Will Ferrell) and becoming a star.”

Hendrix played popular head cheerleader Evian.

As for who she still keeps in touch with from the classic, Hendrix stated: “Molly.”

“You know what, it’s Molly mostly,” confessed the dancer. “And then you end up running into to other people a lot.”

Despite no word of an official second movie yet, Hendrix doesn’t shy away from revisiting her arsenal of fan-favorite films.

“I see them all the time,” she said about re-watching her past projects. “I’ll go to special screenings. I’ll watch them with friends. Or if they’re on TV. I’ve seen them. I’m going to say I’ve seen ‘Parent Trap’ upwards of like 50 to 60 times at least.”

Meanwhile, Tuesday night’s jive was a nod to Evian, as Hendrix dressed in a cheerleading outfit while performing with her partner Alan Bersten to Toni Basil’s “Mickey.”

Hendrix’s performance was also aimed at paying homage to the hit song’s music video with similar outfits, pom-poms and choreography.

Before stepping out onto the ballroom floor, Basil, 82, paid Hendrix and Bersten, 31, a visit to rehearsals.

“She said to make sure that, we’re connecting to each other and that he is Mickey,” the “Inspector Gadget 2” vet recalled.

“I will say tonight was my vision,” Hendrix gushed. “And this is a dream come true. It is always wild to me that people call me an icon. I take that with great joy and pride and love. Toni Basil is like my icon, so to meet her I was nervous. I was excited. We danced for her a little bit. I was like, ‘Okay, enough, enough, enough,’ because the nerves. It was incredible!”

Her longtime bestie and “Parent Trap” co-star Lisa Ann Walter, 62, was in attendance, too.

“Listen, we are each other’s biggest fans,” she expressed. “We’re there for each other through the good times. We are certainly there for each other through the hard times and everything in between. So the fact that she gets to be here and celebrate this with me in real time is such a treasure for me. Alan is my show security blanket. Lisa is my life security blanket, so I couldn’t imagine doing this without her.”

Hendrix gave a nod to her character Meredith Blake from “Parent Trap” on premiere night.

“For me, they’re a part of me. To me, that’s my life, sure,” she detailed. “But the joy that it brings other people, that’s the cherry on the icing.”

Speaking with the Post on Sept 16, Hendrix couldn’t help but reminisce on her other co-star from the film, Lindsay Lohan.

The pair reunited in “Freakier Friday” in August nearly 30 years after starring in “Parent Trap” together.

“She really is [killing it],” Hendrix gushed. “I hadn’t seen her since she was a little girl. Since we did ‘Parent Trap.’ And now that she’s all grown up, you know, we’re reconnected. We’re back in touch. And I just think she’s had an epic life.”

The 1998 family comedy follows twins Annie and Hallie (both played by Lohan, 39), who have never met until attending the same camp by happenstance.

“I feel like she’s had the life that every young woman should have,” added Hendrix. “She just happened to do it in the spotlight. So I just think it’s been epic. And I’m thrilled for her. I love where she’s at now.
