Dustin Poirier enters retirement fight at peace with legacy
Not everything went the way of Dustin Poirier during the course of his first 17 years as a professional fighter, chief among them falling short three times in his bid to become the undisputed UFC lightweight champion.

“I did everything I could to become undisputed champ,” Poirier told The Post during a recent video call. “I put myself in position multiple times to get my hand raised and win that belt in the UFC and just fell short. Just got beat by really good guys, made mistakes, and it is what it is. That’s life; that’s my story.”
The last chapter in the tale of “Dustin Poirier: Professional Fighter” comes Saturday as he headlines a tailor-made event in his backyard, facing fellow legend Max Holloway for the third time in the UFC 318 main event in New Orleans.
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
