Driver for NY disabilities center repeatedly sexually assaulted disabled woman in van: cops
A sicko van driver for the Nassau County Association for the Help of Retarded Children repeatedly sexually assaulted a developmentally disabled woman behind a local Home Depot, police said.
Steven Harrison, 62, of Roosevelt, allegedly drove his AHRC van behind a Jericho outlet of the home improvement retailer on multiple occasions between March 2022 and Sept. 12, then sexually molested the woman before returning to work, Nassau County police said.

The woman, who was 24 when the alleged assaults began, finally reported them on Thursday, and relatives reported it to police, cops said.


“After conducting a thorough investigation, defendant Harrison was placed under arrest without incident on Sept. 23 at the AHRC located at 189 Wheatley Road in Brookville,” the department said.
Harrison was charged with third-degree rape, endangering the welfare of of an incompetent physically disabled person and second-degree sexual assault, police said.
Records show he was arraigned on the charges Wednesday and ordered held on $250,0000 cash bail or a bond of up to $2 million pending a return to Nassau County court on Friday.
Harrison pleaded not guilty to the charges.
