Don Lemon’s take on ‘broken’ white men, Behar’s military fitness bewilderment and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions

This charge:

“White men, something is broken, something is cracked, deep inside you.” — Former CNN anchor Don Lemon, Monday

We say: Pretending that violent sickos like Michigan church shooter Thomas Sanford represent all white men in America is deluded, but that’s just what Lemon did on his podcast, ranting that in every mass shooting “the faces behind the trigger looks the same nearly every single time.”

Worse, he claimed white men are “the real issue,” even though people “keep talking about . . . Chicago and black-on-black crime.”

Yes: Because mass shootings are a tiny fraction of all homicides, and black Chicagoans are 22 times more likely than whites to be killed by gun violence.

Does Lemon think murder isn’t worth talking about unless a white person is pulling the trigger?

This question:

“Why is [Pete Hegseth] obsessed with fat?” — Joy Behar, Tuesday

We say: Behar, along with her “View” crew, was bewildered that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth highlighted the abysmal decline in physical fitness among today’s troops at Tuesday’s meeting of top brass.

Hegseth is “obsessed” with whipping soldiers into shape because a shocking two-thirds of troops are overweight or obese —  and it’s his job to do something about that, even if it offends liberals to point out.

This claim:

“That’s why I’m wearing this paper clip . . . When there was a Nazi occupation, [teachers in Norway] started wearing paper clips.” — Randi Weingarten, Monday

We say: The wildly cynical American Federation of Teachers boss is also reckless, adding more of the radicalizing rhetoric that’s prompted multiple left-wing shooters to violence, when she doesn’t even believe her own words: If she truly thinks the United States is “occupied” by an authoritarian regime on par with the Nazis, why is she going on talk shows to hawk copies of her book?

Her real belief is that fearmongering and demonization sells.

This query:

“You don’t think Republicans are responsible for the fact that detainees were killed [at the Dallas ICE facility]?” — Rep. Ilhan Omar, Wednesday

We say: Omar is either ignorant or a shameless liar.

She blamed the attack on a Dallas ICE facility on Republicans “dehumaniz[ing] immigrants all the time.”

But suspect Joshua Jahn plainly wasn’t there to kill immigrants — all signs point to him being a lefty who accidentally killed two detainees and injured another while targeting ICE agents.

Omar could blame Democrats’ constant dehumanizing of federal law enforcement, but she’d rather pretend it’s the other side’s fault.
