After being renewed for a second season in February 2024, the latest installment, Goosebumps: The Vanishing, dropped on Disney+ in January 2025, starring David Schwimmer, Ana Ortiz, Jayden Bartels, Sam McCarthy, Elijah M. Cooper, Francesca Noel, and Galilea La Salvia.

According to Variety, who was the first to report the news on Thursday (Aug. 7), producer Sony Pictures Television intends to shop the show to other outlets and seek out different creative directions for the IP.

Stine’s latest Goosebumps book, Goosebumps House of Shivers: The Last Sleepover, was released by Scholastic last Tuesday (Aug. 5). Stine’s iconic children’s horror books were previously adapted into a TV series in the ’90s, in addition to two movies: 2015’s Goosebumps and 2018’s Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween.

Rob Letterman who developed and executive produced the latest series alongside Nicholas Stoller, told DECIDER in a November 2023 interview that he was “so proud of the show” following its first season.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Goosebumps are streaming on Disney+.
