“The not so glamorous behind-the-scenes before the @glamourmag Women of the Year Awards… the gloves are *not* coming off!” the actress, 62, wrote on Instagram Wednesday, alongside the video showing stylist Brad Goreski wrestling the fitted white Balenciaga gloves onto her arms.
“Keep going,” Goreski can be heard saying as he tugs forcefully at the gloves, nearly knocking Moore backwards. “Are you good? Do you need another push?”
The “Substance” star, who was honored as Global Woman of the Year at the Plaza Hotel ceremony, quickly realized the ordeal would later have to be repeated.
“Jason, are you watching this? Because I have to take them off, and you have to help me put them back on,” she said to her manager, Jason Weinberg, offscreen. “They’re so fitted, which is great, but arghh.”
Another member of Moore’s team, who was filming the situation, couldn’t help but laugh, comparing the process to “putting on compression socks.” He later added a more colorful assessment: “Holy f–k.”
The video also featured Moore’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, makeup artist Rokael Lizama and the actress’ micro Chihuahua, Pilaf.
In the comments, one fan quipped, “One of my aunts always said ‘Women go through pain to look beautiful’ Guess this was one of those moments 😍.”
Moore’s dedication to the shiny white spandex opera gloves ultimately paid off. She paired them with a strapless black Balenciaga top and coordinating tapered trousers from creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s debut collection for the luxury fashion house.
The Golden Globe winner covers Glamour’s October 2025 issue wearing a corseted cage gown by designer Harris Reed.
In a separate post reflecting on the honor, she dedicated her award to “all of the women who have reached out their hand to me, to the women that have come before and cleared the path for me, to the women that walk beside me, and the women that will come after me.” She added, “When one woman rises, we all rise.”
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
