Dave Portnoy suddenly forgot Ohio State existed.
After addressing a reported ban from the university ahead of its season opener against No. 1 Texas in Columbus on Saturday, the Barstool founder said what everyone was thinking Tuesday afternoon:

“FORGET EVERYTHING TAYLOR IS ENGAGED,” he wrote after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement after two years of dating on a joint Instagram post.
He later posted a video on X congratulating the couple while on a walk with girlfriend Camryn D’Aloia and his two dogs.
“Alright, I’m just taking the kids out for a walk on a Tuesday, trying to cool down,” Portnoy said. “I’m in a fight with Ohio State. Was I banned, was I not banned, who is telling the truth? And then what happens? Taylor Swift engaged. Mother gets engaged. Travis Kelce. So happy for her. She deserves the world, and love wins. All this petty rivalry — yeah I love football, all the back and forth — but let’s just remember love wins.
“So, congratulations Taylor. Couldn’t be happier for you. And just f–k Kanye (West). Just f–k him. F–k you. She won, you lost. Loser. But congrats to mother because that’s what this is about.”
Portnoy, a known Swiftie, has backed Swift since she entered the NFL spotlight following the couple’s relationship going public two years ago.
Swift also wrote the sports personality a letter, which he received ahead of her Eras Tour concert in Miami in October 2024.
