Daniel Jones calls out ‘cheater’ Eli Manning over viral flip-cup game

Eli Manning may be a Super Bowl champion, but he is a flip cup cheater according to Daniel Jones.

During his appearance on Monday’s “Manningcast” on ESPN2, the Colts QB joined Peyton and Eli Manning for part of the game between the Lions and Ravens, and Peyton resurrected a famous clip of Eli and Jones playing flip cup at a Hoboken bar.

Peyton set up Jones to call out his younger brother over his “cheating” during flip cup.

“He’s 1,000 percent cheating,” Jones said with a grin. “You asked me what advice Peyton gave me on Indy, this is the advice Eli gave me for being in New York. He’s cheating the whole time. I was wondering how I kept losing. I just finished college, I’m losing to this 40-year-old and then I realized he was cheating.”

The comment got a chuckle out of Eli, who owned up immediately and declared, “You gotta cheat in flip cup, c’mon.”

“I was undefeated. I never lost,” Eli chimed in.

The then-viral video was filmed in December during the 2019 season at the Hoboken bar, Green Rock Tap & Grill.

Eli was 38 at the time, and Jones, then 22, was in the middle of his rookie season with the Giants.

The Hoboken night came after the Giants won back-to-back games, which included a 41-35 overtime win over Washington on the road.

“Although we’ll always Bleed Blue…Eli, Saquon, Daniel ‘Dimes’, and Reggie were Green Rocking last night,” a bartender at the drinkery posted on Instagram, The Post reported at the time.

Social media video also showed Jones coming out of his shell that night, dancing around as napkins were tossed into the air.

A lot has happened since that fateful December night and Jones is now leading the Colts to their first 3-0 season since 2009 — when Peyton was still quarterback.

That led to quiet the introduction from his former teammate.

“DJ, your Colts are 3-0 and lead the NFL in scoring,” Eli said to open the segment. “My question is, do you agree with my take that you are already the greatest quarterback in Indianapolis Colts history?”

Peyton and Jones got a chuckle out of it, even if Jones wasn’t ready to lean into it just yet.

“I don’t know if I can go that far yet,” he said, “but it’s been a good start for us.”

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
