Cybill Shepherd gives major update on feuds with Bruce Willis, Christine Baranski

Chances are, Cybill Shepherd has mended fences with her former co-stars.

And the actress, 75, confirmed as much while opening up about her friendships with Bruce Willis and Christine Baranski.

Shepherd revealed she was able to make up with her “Moonlighting” co-star, Willis, 70, before his aphasia diagnosis.

“Yes, I’m very grateful for that,” she told People, before noting, “Yeah, it was time.”

The pair starred in the comedy-drama series on ABC from 1985 to 1989.

“Moonlighting” followed former model Maddie Hayes (Shepherd) and Detective David Addison (Bruce) who manage Blue Moon Detective Agency.

Despite the on-screen chemistry, behind the scenes, there was turmoil.

At the time, Shepherd called Willis “a jerk” and admitted there was flirtation when they first met.

In 1990, while on the “Arsenio Hall Show,” the “Die Hard” actor was asked if he would ever work with the “Taxi Driver” alum again.

“I don’t think so,” confessed Willis. “Not right now, anyway. Look, ‘Moonlighting’ was a very good show for me, and I had a lot of fun doing it. It reached a point where it was no longer fun.”

After the star’s March 2022 dementia diagnosis and the announcement that he had retired from acting, Shepherd told Extra: “I will always love Bruce.”

The singer also opened up about where she stands with Baranski, 73, after working on the sitcom “Cybill” together for four seasons from 1995 to 1998.

Shepherd played a struggling actress trying to reinvent herself while Baranski portrayed her best friend Maryann.

In the titular character’s 2000 memoir, “Cybill Disobedience,” she called Baranski “unfriendly” and added that that was the reason they didn’t get along on set.

Baranski told The Guardian in 2022: “I have never publicly gone into that. Yes, there were issues, but I prefer to take the higher ground and say, look, that show gave me so much.”

Shepherd has now told People: “We’re good now,” thanks to “just a talk and be real open-hearted with each other.”

In 2023, Shepherd opened up about the instant sparks she felt upon meeting Willis for the first time before “Moonlighting” began filming.

I met Bruce in an office with Glenn and my temperature went up at least 10 degrees and I thought, ‘This guy is the one,’” she told the Post. “I always knew not to act on it; we came close, Bruce and I, because we were both very attracted to each other, but we managed to just stop and not to fulfill that, and it had a huge amount to do with the success of the show.”

The series creator Glenn Gordon Caron, also opened up about casting Willis on the beloved project.

“I brought Bruce in 11 times and he was the only one I brought in [for the role]. The problem with Bruce is that he didn’t look like an ABC leading man to [network execs], but I wasn’t interested in doing a show with an ABC leading man,” the 71-year-old explained.

Shepherd shared that “Moonlighting” now being on Hulu will have people laughing.

“And they’re going to get the dramatic parts between everybody in the show and then the great chemistry between Bruce and I. The brilliant writing of Glenn Gordon Caron with the comedy and the drama and everything all pulled together. ABC didn’t believe in this show enough to let us try to get away with it — and we did.”
