“Wrong country if you want to abuse women,” one of the men can be heard saying in the footage.
In a video posted to his social media channels on Thursday, captioned “Never abuse women,” Baldridge said it was “so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman.”
Baldridge said he witnessed the man repeatedly hurl verbal abuse at the staffer.
“He probably said it like five times and I was starting to get frustrated.
“And I was like, ‘Bro, you need to calm down. You don’t talk to women like that.’
At one point, the man appeared to spit at the young woman, “just because his order wasn’t right, I don’t know what it was.”
The 34-year-old said it was at this point other men in the restaurant “came over and said, ‘Hey bro we don’t talk to women like that.’”
“And before I know it these dudes got this dude on the ground,” he said.
“And the guys were holding him down, saying, ‘wrong country to abuse women. ’”
Baldridge said he knew some would not agree with those methods, but believed “you gotta know when to fight”.
“It was just so inspiring to watch these dudes stand up for this woman,” he said.
“And I think our country needs more of that, and a lot of people are not going to talk about this
And you’re gonna see maybe like ‘that’s the wrong way to do it you shouldn’t fight.’
“But sometimes you gotta know when to fight.”
It is unclear exactly when the incident unfolded, but Baldridge played two shows at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on October 28 and 29.

There have been rising complaints about safety in Victoria’s capital in recent times, with federal opposition leader Sussan Ley calling Melbourne, Australia’s “crime capital” last month.
Data from Victoria’s Crime Statistics Agency released in September showed 638,640 criminal offences were recorded in the 12 months to the end of June – 15.7 per cent.
The footage shared by Baldridge has been widely shared online, drawing more than 100,000 views on multiple X accounts.
People have also applauded the actions of the two men, with one fan writing on Instagram “What you experienced then mate was real Australian men.”
“Those are real men, I’m proud of them,” another said.
On Facebook, one woman thanked the musician for highlighting violence against women.
“As a DV survivor, it’s vitally important that men understand it’s not okay to ever raise a hand to a woman, spit on a woman, or disrespect a woman in any way,” she wrote.
In finishing his video Baldridge quoted lyrics from his new song Rebel, saying the incident reminded him of what the song was about.
“If the whole world wants to dance with the devil, I guess you could call me a rebel,” he said, quoting the song.
“And those guys, they were real rebels.”
