Cops called to Iman Shumpert’s house over alleged verbal altercation
Police were called to the Atlanta home of former Knicks and Nets player Iman Shumpert to diffuse an alleged verbal altercation between the ex-hooper and a woman.
The woman claimed Shumpert hit her, but a witness disputed that, according to a police report obtained by TMZ regarding the Nov. 26 incident.

The woman was identified as Joanna Donnejour, per the outlet.
Police responded to the call around 4:37 in the morning, and when officers arrived, they spotted the basketball player putting a suitcase outside his house.

The incident allegedly began when Shumpert and Donnejour started arguing in Shumpert’s room about him talking with another woman, while another woman was in the room.
According to the police report and body cam footage, Donnejour alleged that Shumpert had taken her out of the room by “dragging her by her wrist and foot toward the stairs.”
“Is that lawful? … To be dragged by your hands and your feet?” a woman, believed to be Donnejour, asked in footage published by TMZ.
She said that she wanted to press charges because, she alleged, Shumpert had “hit her.”
The other woman at the scene told officers that Shumpert asked Donnejour twice to leave the room and then “grabbed Ms. Donnejour by the wrist to escort her out but this was not done in an aggressive manner.”
The report, according to TMZ, stated that officers did not see any visible injuries, markings or bruising on Donnejour’s body and there were no charges filed based on statements from witnesses and a lack of evidence.

In a statement to the outlet, Shumpert claimed that he had asked “a visitor at my residence” to leave several times following the ex-NBAer witnessing “her damage personal property.
“The police were called, invited inside and they spoke with multiple people who saw what happened,” he continued in the statement. “After assessing the situation, the police instructed her to leave repeatedly. She refused to vacate the property after being asked to leave multiple times and only after the officers escorted her outside did she eventually depart.
“This matter was quickly closed that night by the police after they did their investigation.”
Donnejour did order a ride share, which was summoned before police showed up, and she eventually left
In the body cam footage, Donnejour could be heard saying, presumably to Shumpert, “see you in court and on Instagram in the morning” as she walked out of the residence.
