“Our IT team has been working to restore services as quickly as possible, and we have notified law enforcement. At this time, no clinical operations at CUIMC have been impacted.”
Sources told The Post that a low-level access control breach brought down the Ivy League university’s systems.
The university acknowledged being “aware of online posts from a group claiming responsibility for this outage,” but has since debunked those claims, the Columbia Spectator reported, noting that the school’s IT teams are investigating with police.
An image of President Trump was plastered on at least one dorm TV on Columbia’s Morningside campus, according to a photo obtained by the Spectator.
Several student services, including the school email system and CourseWorks – a portal used by professors to share student assignments – were impacted by the outage, according to the Spectator.
