Collin Gosselin asks mom Kate to take lie detector test
Collin Gosselin wants to put his mom, Kate Gosselin, to the ultimate test with a polygraph.
The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday to invite Kate to take mother-son lie detector tests amid news she’s dating the famous family’s ex-bodyguard, Steve Neild. “This is my formal invitation to do a lie detector test with my mom lolll,” Collin, 21, wrote, alongside a laughing emoji.

“Then we’ll see who’s been lying straight to the public… I’m so serious by the way,” he added alongside a second laughing emoji.
Reps for Kate and Collin did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.
The challenge comes a day after Collin and his father, Jon, 48, reacted to news that Kate, 50, is involved with — and living with — Neild following years of affair rumors, according to a Page Six source. The “Special Forces” alum had previously divulged in a TikTok that she’d been dating someone for “a little over a year, maybe 14 [or] 15 months.”
After Page Six confirmed Kate’s boyfriend’s identity, Collin reacted in a now-expired Story. “What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations, while I was in a connected room! Now everyone thinks her being with him is some cute novel romance.”
“By the way my dad received death threats and got shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘leaving his kids,” Collin continued. “I hope she doesn’t try to play this one off. Just come forward and be truthful.”
Collin explained that he’s too “busy in college, at work, and running my business” for much “drama.”
“However, I feel very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions,” he wrote. “Everyone says my dad and I are hung up on my mom. We are not. We have suffered the damage of a narcissist and cried together.“
In another slide, he continued blasting his mother for the relationship — which is “serious” enough for “wedding plans,” a source told Page Six Wednesday.
“You’ve BEEN with him,” Collin wrote in part. “You told me I broke our family when you couldn’t stay true to my dad.”
Collin stated he doesn’t intend to “shame” his mother, but insisted he and his father “have cried together from all the hurt.” He added, “I’m done staying quiet.”
Jon, to whom Kate was married from 1999-2009, also slammed his ex-wife via Instagram on Wednesday. “Guess who really ruined the marriage,” he wrote, sharing a snapshot of Page Six’s report and encouraging fans to “Read for yourself.”
The reality star captioned the upload — which included a photo of Kate and Neild on an outing — “Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!” Via Instagram Stories, Jon linked to Page Six’s coverage of the relationship, writing atop the slide, “I told you all.”
Jon and Kate divorced in 2009 after welcoming twins Madelyn and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Hannah, Alexis and Leah, 21. Kate seemingly denied in an interview at the time that she’d been involved with Neild prior to the split, calling the speculation “disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable.”
Following the breakup, Kate obtained custody of their famous brood and pushed forward with a new show — “Kate Plus 8” — from 2015 to 2017. In 2016, she sent then 12-year-old Collin to Fairmount Behavioral Health Institute for alleged unspecified behavioral issues.
After two years at Fairmount, Collin and his father reunited when Jon was granted sole physical custody of him. Hannah would later join the pair, with the remaining children apparently siding with Kate amid a growing family rift.
In an explosive 2024 interview with the Sun, Collin accused the “Dancing With the Stars” personality of abuse including allegedly zip tying him and locking him in a basement.
Kate claimed through an attorney that she never “intentionally” harmed Collin, and “did what she did to protect herself and her family” from her son’s “troubled behavior.”
After Collin wrote an emotional open letter to his estranged siblings via TikTok in August, his mother seemingly responded with a TikTok comment of her own.
When sharing that she returned to her nursing career in a video, a fan in the comments thread shared a screenshot of Collin’s own TikTok, in which he claimed Kate “pitted” the reality-famous siblings “against each other,” leading to years of estrangement.
“He knows why..😢” Kate responded, seemingly denying she caused the rift.
