“I’ve moved on, next question,” Barmore told reporters Wednesday. “Let’s focus on the Falcons.”
When pressed further, Barmore said the situation is “about growing,” but did not reveal what he did to warrant the punishment.
He said that he is on good terms with head coach Mike Vrabel.
“That’s my guy,” Barmore said. “Of course.”
Barmore is in the second season of the four-year, $83 million extension he signed in 2024.
After Sunday’s game, Vrabel did not give much detail into why he disciplined Barmore.
“I just had to make a decision,” Vrabel said. “My job’s to protect the team. So when there are actions that I don’t feel like are commensurate with what we want to do here, I gotta make a decision. And we move on.”
Barmore declined to speak to the media after the game and had not addressed the situation until breaking his silence Wednesday.
Despite sitting out the first quarter, Barmore still finished with a team-high four QB pressures, along with one tackle while playing 30 snaps.
After the game, Vrabel and Barmore could be seen hugging in the tunnel on the way to the locker room.

“Just like everything else that I do — whether that’s in life, whatever — we’ve moved on, we’ve addressed it,” Vrabel said on “The Greg Hill Show” one day later on Monday. “And there’s no issues moving forward with me or anybody else. That’s how we have to operate.”
The Patriots drafted Barmore in the second round in 2021.
This is his first season playing under Vrabel.
