Chilling new details emerge as accused psycho surgeon Michael McKee is indicted for killing ex-wife, Ohio husband



Accused killer surgeon Michael McKee allegedly used a silencer when he gunned down his ex-wife, Monique Tepe, and her new husband in their Ohio home last month, according to court documents.

The chilling new details about the heinous double slaying were revealed Friday when a Franklin County grand jury indicted the 39-year-old suspect on four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary for killing Monique and Spencer Tepe on Dec. 30.

The murder counts included specifications accusing McKee of using an automatic firearm or silencer when he allegedly snuck into the Tepe’s Columbus home in the middle of the night and shot them dead in their bedroom, leaving their two children, ages 4 and 1, unharmed in another room.

The vascular surgeon was arrested more than a week later some 325 miles away in Rockford, Illinois, after police traced his car to the scene the night of the twisted murders.

Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant on Wednesday described the killings as a “targeted” domestic violence attack and revealed police discovered the gun believed to have been used to fatally shoot Spencer and Monique, who he was married to for two years.

Their short-lived marriage ended in 2017, when Monique, 39, filed for divorce.

While court records indicated the split was amicable, her grief-stricken family has since spoken out, accusing McKee of being emotionally abusive during their brief marriage.

“Myself and many others were all aware of, kind of, the negative impact that he had on her. And the abuse that he put her through he torment that he put her through,” Monique’s brother, Rob Misleh, told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” on Wednesday.

Investigators have not determined a motive in the killings.
