“Whatever,” she told interviewer Gayle King, responding to her potential critics. “They’re not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast.”
The singer added that age hasn’t been an issue with Edwards either, saying that the music executive tells her, “You know, you get older, but your spirit is younger.”‘
The singer gushed over their three-year romance as she shared how they “laugh all the time,”
“I just love him,” she raved. “I think he’s beautiful. He’s really talented. He’s one of the most talented persons I’ve ever met.”
The “Believe” hitmaker’s comments come weeks after an eyewitness told Page Six that she and her much-younger beau were spotted looking “very much in love” during their appearance at Alan Faena’s new hotel in West Chelsea.
The couple attended a private opening of “Amaze, Vogue, Ascend, Flourish,” an installation commissioned by Faena Art in New York on Oct. 10.
Cher and Edwards arrived at the event holding hands and only broke apart for Cher to serve the guests some of her “Cherlato” ice cream with Gianpaolo “Giapo” Grazioli.
“Cher and her boyfriend were very close and stuck together…They seem very much in love and happy to be together,” a source told Page Six at the time.
“She was in great spirits, hanging out with friends and her boyfriend. The entire night felt electric and free.”
The couple was first romantically linked in November 2022 when they were seen holding hands in Los Angeles.
They later made their red carpet debut with a PDA-packed entrance at the Versace fall 2023 fashion show in March 2023.
Cher previously defended her relationship with Edwards shortly after she made things social media official in 2022.
Via X, the singer hosted an online Q&A where she told one of her followers, “Let Me Explain…I DONT GIVE A [flying] FK WHAT ANYONE THINKS.”
“I’m Not Defending Us. Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn’t Matter That we’re Happy & Not Bothering Anyone.”
